Assistant Produce Team Supervisor

Position Overview: The Assistant Produce Team Supervisor plays a crucial role in managing various tasks within the store. This position focuses on guiding a successful produce team, acting as a Produce Team Lead in training, and working towards achieving departmental goals while delivering exceptional customer service and product knowledge.
Key Responsibilities: An Assistant Produce Team Supervisor is a dependable and approachable individual who can thrive in a dynamic environment while ensuring outstanding customer interactions.
The responsibilities of an Assistant Produce Team Supervisor include:
In the absence of the produce manager, overseeing the produce department staff and ensuring the achievement of departmental objectives. Engaging directly with the store team leader and produce department managers. Placing orders for produce and related products to maintain sufficient stock levels and merchandising fruits, vegetables, and other produce items according to established standards. Receiving merchandise, verifying orders, unloading trailers, and organizing produce loads in the warehouse or cooler. Mastering proper techniques for product trimming, rotation, culling, and watering to enhance product appeal and longevity. Creating visually appealing displays of produce while managing inventory levels effectively. Recognizing the significance of monitoring product pricing, signage, and placement, along with the correct use of shelf tags. Performing any other related duties as assigned.Physical Demands: Employees may occasionally face the following physical requirements for extended periods:
Standing, Sitting, Lifting + Stocking (up to 50 lbs.), Pushing, Keyboarding, Telephone Use, Walking, Bending
