Job Title: Line Operator

Ohio Gratings, Inc. is seeking a skilled Line Operator to join our team in a dynamic manufacturing environment. As a Line Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the production of high-quality metal grating products while maintaining a focus on safety, quality, and production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment to ensure proper spacing and piece size as defined by job travelers.
  • Use the EPICOR ERP system to record and track material usage, processes, and machine requirements for each job.
  • Review work products for quality during first-time final processes, ensuring they meet specifications and standards.
  • Adhere to all Ohio Gratings safety policies and procedures.
  • Engage in cross-training in different areas within the organization to gain a deeper understanding of the Ohio Gratings product line and advance your career.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to perform manufacturing tasks accurately.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior manufacturing experience in a steel or aluminum environment preferred (2+ years).
  • Ability to safely operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and various hand and power tools.
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding standard and metric measurements, as well as basic arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
Work Environment:

The work environment involves regular exposure to noise, dust, heat, and cold. The employee will work on the production floor and is required to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Attention to safety rules and standards is essential due to exposure to machine and tool hazards.
