Key Responsibilities- Prepare work sites for new concrete installations through demolition and site preparation.
- Mix concrete to the required specifications.
- Execute the pouring or placement of concrete.
- Install reinforcement materials such as rebar and expansion joints.
- Conduct repairs on existing concrete structures.
- Apply finishing touches to concrete surfaces.
- Adhere to all safety protocols while operating tools and machinery.
- Ensure the worksite is cleaned and organized upon project completion.
- Comply with the company's safety program and all applicable regulations.
- Maintain positive relationships with co-workers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Demonstrate productivity and efficiency while ensuring high-quality workmanship.
- Exhibit self-motivation and a proactive attitude.
- Follow both verbal and written instructions accurately.
- Arrive at work punctually and adhere to designated break times.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. is preferred.
- Three to five years of experience in the road construction sector is preferred.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Physical capability to lift and carry weights ranging from 50 to 90 pounds.
- Ability to stand, bend, and crouch for extended periods.
- Knowledge of road construction materials and processes.
- Compliance with the company's drug and alcohol testing policies.
- Possession of a valid U.S. driver's license without major violations.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening and background checks.
- Verification of identity and eligibility to work in the United States is required upon hiring.
- Overtime and weekend shifts may be necessary.
- Work is primarily conducted outdoors, potentially in adverse weather conditions.
- Regular lifting and carrying of weights up to 50 pounds is required.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
- Use of sunscreen and appropriate clothing is advised.
