Key ResponsibilitiesIn alignment with the core values of the organization, the Wound Care Nurse Coordinator is tasked with:
- Conducting thorough assessments of patients' wound and ostomy conditions.
- Developing and executing individualized care plans.
- Providing education and training to patients and families regarding wound management and ostomy care.
- Overseeing the performance of nursing staff in delivering wound care services.
- Maintaining and updating clinical protocols related to skin care and wound management.
- Facilitating educational sessions and in-service training for healthcare personnel.
- Engaging in quality improvement initiatives to enhance wound care delivery.
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- CWOCN certification as a Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience, specifically in wound and ostomy care.
