Your role will encompass the formulation and execution of strategies aimed at optimizing charge capture workflows, collaborating with clinical and compliance teams, and offering expert guidance on coding and billing issues.
Core Responsibilities:
- Examine billing processes within clinical departments, assess results, and relay updates to relevant parties.
- Provide recommendations for operational enhancements to boost payment efficiency.
- Create educational programs and resources regarding billing protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Develop guidelines to address issues related to denied claims and enhance revenue collection.
- Keep abreast of payer policies and communicate any modifications effectively.
- Perform coding audits, ensure adherence to regulations, and oversee reimbursement initiatives.
- Lead a team, manage staff performance, and maximize productivity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Health Care Administration or a related discipline.
- CPC certification with comprehensive knowledge of coding systems and regulations.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.
Desirable Skills:
Experience with Epic software is highly regarded.
