Job Description

Ryder is seeking a dedicated SOLO Class A CDL Driver to join our team in Temple, TX. As a Ryder driver, you will have the opportunity to drive with a reputable company that values its employees and provides a safe and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle to transport goods and materials within a 300-mile radius
  • Load and unload freight, or assist in the loading/unloading of freight as required by the customer
  • Maintain accurate records and logs, and ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
  • Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards
Benefits
  • Weekly guarantee of $1205 per week
  • Pay for solo miles at $0.46 per mile with 2000 miles per week
  • Pay for solo stops at $8.00 per stop with stops per week
  • Drop and hook pay at $6.00 per drop/hook
  • Shutdown bonus of $2000 paid in 2 installments
  • Sign on bonus of $1000 at 30 days and $1000 at 90 days
  • Safety bonus of up to $250 per quarter if applicable
Requirements
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Pass a Ryder drug test
  • Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
  • Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months experience within the past 3 years, or 2 years experience within the last 5 years, or 5 years experience within the last 10 years
