Job Summary

Ryder is seeking a dedicated Solo Class A CDL Driver to join our team in Temple, TX. As a Solo Driver, you will be responsible for delivering freight within a 300-mile radius, operating a Day Cab tractor, and handling dry van 53' trailers. Key Responsibilities
  • Ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules
  • Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
  • Loading and unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight as required
  • Maintaining accurate records and logs
Requirements
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Pass a Ryder drug test
  • Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Provide a valid Class A CDL and endorsements for the position
  • Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle
Benefits
  • Weekly guarantee of $1205
  • Solo miles pay: $0.46 per mile with 2000 miles per week
  • Solo stops pay: $8.00 per stop with stops per week
  • Drop and hook pay: $6.00 per drop/hook
  • Shutdown bonus: pays up to $2000 in 2 installments
  • Sign-on bonus: pays $1000 at 30 days and $1000 at 90 days
  • Safety bonus: pays up to $250 per quarter if applicable
