Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Banquet Cook to join our culinary team at Tuscany Suites and Casino.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare high-quality food items according to menu and recipe standards in the Banquet department.
  • Operate and maintain food preparation and kitchen equipment in a safe and clean working environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and notify management of restocking requirements.
  • Ensure the freshness of products and adhere to SNHD regulations for product handling and storage.
  • Assist multiple stations with food preparation, cooking, and plating.
  • Control food costs and adhere to all health code regulations and standards.
  • Record food temperatures, production, and waste on required documentation.
  • Work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Prefer 2 years' experience in a high-energy restaurant or hotel dining venue.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Aware of guidelines for safe storage and handling of food and in possession of a current Health Card.
  • Able to communicate effectively with team members.
  • Ability to reach, bend, and pull frequently and lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
