Job Title: Direct Support Professional

At The Verland Foundation Inc, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to individuals with complex physical and intellectual challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
  • Perform housekeeping, cleaning, and laundry duties to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring clients receive nutritious and delicious meals.
  • Transport clients to appointments and activities in our vehicles, promoting independence and socialization.
  • Participate in planning and implementing social, home, and recreational activities that promote client engagement and enjoyment.
  • Record observations and daily progress notes, providing valuable insights for client care and support.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Pennsylvania driver's license with transportation.
  • Ability to lift and transfer clients without restrictions.
  • Pass a comprehensive background, physical, and drug screening.
  • Experience is not required, but completion of training is necessary for employment.
