About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Park Industries. As a key member of our engineering department, you will play a critical role in the design and development of our industry-leading machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design of electrical systems from initial conceptualization through to commissioning, ensuring they meet all project requirements and industry standards.
  • Independently design controls and software systems, including creating specifications, architecture, and user interfaces for new products and enhancements to existing ones.
  • Identify and implement improvements to existing products, troubleshoot and resolve issues related to electrical design, and ensure that our products continue to meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
  • Actively participate in both NPD and sustaining engineering projects, working closely with teams across Manufacturing, Sales, Service, Installation, and Training to ensure successful project delivery and product sustainment.
  • Communicate the need for service documentation, such as schematics and CAD drawings, to the design team, ensuring all designs are thoroughly documented.
  • Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement initiatives, providing technical guidance and support to the team in both new and existing product development.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical design engineering, with a focus on control systems and software development. Experience with Computer Numeric Controllers (CNCs) is preferred.
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., C#, C++, Java, VBA, VB6, or Python), familiarity with ladder logic and structured text, and experience with IDEs such as Visual Studio, TIA Portal, and Step 7. Knowledge of Agile methodologies, unit and integration testing, and conducting code reviews is essential.
