Role Overview:
The Agile Team Facilitator plays a crucial role in fostering high-performing scrum teams by enhancing team efficiencies and ensuring accountability for deliverables. This position will support our Data Products team, which is integral to our enterprise data initiatives, including API and platform development. You will empower and motivate scrum teams towards self-organization, high-quality outcomes, and ownership of their work.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Facilitate all agile ceremonies, including iteration planning, daily stand-ups, iteration reviews, and retrospectives, in collaboration with senior scrum leadership.
2. Ensure a thorough understanding of scrum principles within the team, promoting adherence to scrum practices as outlined by Wellmark standards.
3. Encourage inclusive participation, addressing root causes of challenges rather than just symptoms, and fostering open communication at all levels.
4. Assist in elevating team performance by identifying strengths and areas for improvement, utilizing effective coaching techniques.
5. Collaborate with the Product Owner on product backlog management and ensure transparency in team communications with stakeholders.
6. Advocate for agile values and principles, guiding teams in self-organization and cross-functional skill development.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
- At least 2 years of experience working alongside a senior scrum master.
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies, including experience with planning and facilitating agile activities.
- Familiarity with agile tools and project management software.
- Strong consulting skills with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Preferred:
- Certification as a Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM).
