Job Title: School Psychologist

Job Summary:

Soliant is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to provide comprehensive psychological services to students in our diverse and vibrant public school district in Dallas, Texas.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct thorough psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, academic, emotional, and behavioral functioning, utilizing a range of assessment tools and techniques.
  2. Interpret assessment results and provide recommendations to educators, parents, and other stakeholders to support students' educational and social-emotional needs.
  3. Develop and implement evidence-based interventions and strategies to address students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional concerns, collaborating with school staff to promote positive outcomes.
  4. Provide individual and group counseling to students, addressing issues such as academic achievement, social skills, anxiety, depression, and trauma.
  5. Consult with teachers, administrators, and support staff to enhance the overall school climate and promote positive behavior management strategies.
  6. Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings to contribute to the development of educational plans for students with special needs.
  7. Conduct crisis interventions and provide support to students and staff during challenging situations, collaborating with community resources as needed.
  8. Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessment results, interventions, progress notes, and other relevant documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  9. Stay informed about current research, best practices, and emerging trends in the field of school psychology, participating in professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills.

Qualifications:

  1. Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited university.
  2. Active licensure as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) in the state of Texas.
  3. Certification from the Texas State Board of Education as a School Psychologist or eligibility for certification.
  4. Experience working in educational settings, preferably in urban or diverse school districts.
  5. Strong assessment and intervention skills, with knowledge of standardized assessment measures and behavioral intervention techniques.
  6. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
  7. Ability to work effectively with students, families, educators, and community stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
