Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at the Human Development Center. As a Mental Health Practitioner, you will provide direct support services to individuals in a short-term residential facility, working collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to assess needs and apply interventions appropriately.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct intake assessments and develop treatment plans
  • Provide individual and group skills training to teach emotional skills, social skills, independent living, community skills, wellbeing and recreational groups
  • Teach individual skills related to coping, relapse prevention, and basic household and living skills
  • Provide crisis assistance as needed
  • Work cooperatively with other service providers and have a strong understanding of program eligibility requirements
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in human services or related field and 2,000 hours of mental health experience
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable vehicle with proof of insurance
  • Ability to submit and pass a DMV/Criminal background check
