About the Position

William Paterson University is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to join our Kinesiology Department. As an Adjunct Faculty member, you will have the opportunity to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the Department of Kinesiology, which includes majors such as Exercise Physiology, Physical Education, Sport Management, and Sports Medicine.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and teach relevant syllabi for courses in the Kinesiology Department.
  • Contribute to student success by providing consistent and effective support and being available to students for their questions and needs.
  • Teach in person and/or online depending upon course schedules and department needs.
Requirements
  • Masters in a relevant discipline to the Kinesiology undergraduate major; Exercise Physiology, Physical Education, Sport Management, and Sports Medicine.
  • Full time or part-time employment in an area related to the Kinesiology undergraduate major.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional certification and/or continuing professional education relevant to the kinesiology discipline.
  • Experience teaching both online and in person courses.

  • Ability to translate kinesiology experience into pedagogical approaches that enhance curriculum relevance.
  • Demonstrated commitment to engage in continuous professional development activities.
