Responsibilities and Qualifications

As a Service Line Nurse Coordinator, you will lead service staff to ensure the quality and integrity of care provided. You will develop care plans based on RN assessments and re-assessments, and manage fiscal and human resource allocations in accordance with established guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting medical/healthcare errors and fostering an interdisciplinary collaborative approach to patient care planning.
  • Implementing fall prevention strategies in the operating room and responding to infant abduction incidents.
  • Ensuring proper positioning for surgical procedures.
  • Overseeing medication safety in the operating room, including monitoring sedation, safe storage and usage of medications, and conducting double checks for critical medications.
  • Conducting Time Out Procedures and verifying correct site procedures.
  • Managing blood product handling and surgical counts.
  • Documenting intraoperative patient information, including procedural delays.
Required Qualifications:
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • Registered Nurse license.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Associate Degree in Nursing.
