We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Medical Support Specialist to join our team at BioLife Plasma Services. As a medical professional, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our donors while collecting high-quality plasma for life-changing medicines.
About the Role
In this position, you will determine donor eligibility, manage informed consent, conduct medical history interviews, and perform physical examinations. Your attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively will ensure that our donors receive excellent care.
Responsibilities
- Determine donor eligibility, including proper management of informed consent and medical history interviews
- Conduct physical examinations and review laboratory test results
- Evaluate donor reactions and follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs as needed for guidance on medical or technical issues
Requirements
- Current licensure or certification as an LPN or LVN in the state where responsibilities will be assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent, including completion of a graduate-level nursing program with state requirements
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification
- Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy
- Satisfactorily complete FDA-approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialists
- Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting
- Fluent and proficient English and Spanish language skills
