We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical/Telemetry Unit on a per diem basis. As a Medical/Telemetry Nurse (RN), you will play a vital role in providing safe and compassionate care to our patients in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, and develop individualized care plans to address these needs.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care, communicate effectively with patients and families, and ensure seamless transitions of care.
- Medication Administration and Management: Administer medications as prescribed, monitor patients' responses, and report any adverse reactions or concerns to the healthcare team.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Accurately document patient information, including medical histories, treatment plans, and progress notes, in a timely and thorough manner.
- Quality Improvement and Patient Safety: Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identify areas for improvement, and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
- Current NV Nursing License: Possess a current and active nursing license in the state of Nevada.
- BLS and ACLS Certification: Hold current BLS and ACLS certifications, or be willing to obtain them within a specified timeframe.
- Experience and Education: One year of full-time or three years of part-time experience in an acute care setting, with a focus on medical/telemetry nursing. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
