Children's Minnesota is seeking a skilled Pre-Procedure Assessment Nurse to join our team in the Peri-op Pre Procedure Assessment Center environment. This role is responsible for preparing patients and families prior to hospital arrival, ensuring comprehensive preparation for anesthesia.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate family participation in digital patient health platforms
- Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure comprehensive preparation of all aspects of pre-hospital care
- Ensure prompt, accurate, and complete patient pre-registration, prior authorization, medical, social, and other financial and resource needs
- Utilize technical knowledge and competence to meet peri-operative patient and family pre-hospital requirements
- Registered Nurse with current BLS certification
- Two years of recent perioperative nursing experience preferred
- Prefer pediatric or peri-anesthesia nursing certification or obtained within 6 months
- Prefer experience with facilitation and coordination of prior authorization
- Prefer familiarity with revenue cycle management, including GE Centricity or similar billing management, patient demographics, reporting, and analytics
- Prefer familiarity with CPT and diagnostic coding
- Prefer fluency in writing and speaking; Spanish or Somali
