Department OverviewThe Pre-Procedure Assessment Center is a team of nurses who work with patients and families before hospital arrival to ensure a comprehensive preparation for anesthesia.
Our team reviews patient medical records, communicates with parents, and utilizes digital health platforms to provide holistic care.
By collaborating with the multi-disciplinary healthcare team, we aim to decrease risk to patients and reduce delays and cancellations of surgical procedures.
Position SummaryThe Pre-Procedure Assessment Center Registered Nurse plays a critical role in preparing patients and families for hospital arrival.
Responsibilities include facilitating family participation in digital patient health platforms and serving as an expert in their utilization.
Collaborating with the multi-disciplinary team, external clinics, and resources, this role ensures comprehensive preparation of all aspects of pre-hospital care, including patient registration, prior authorization, medical, social, and financial resources.
This position is located within the Peri-op Pre-Procedure Assessment Center environment and has no direct patient interaction. Hours of work will vary to meet patient care needs.
