Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Mental Health Specialist to join our team in Canton City schools. As a School Based Case Manager/Prevention Specialist, you will provide essential services that focus on recovery and resiliency to empower individuals experiencing mental illness.

In this role, you will:

  • Build meaningful relationships with students, families, and community members.
  • Provide outreach services to ensure access to mental health support.
  • Act as an advocate for those in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide mental health interventions, including individual life skills development, symptom monitoring, crisis management, and ongoing assessment of needs.
  • Develop and coordinate individualized Service Plans focusing on recovery and resilience principles.
  • Coordinate with schools and community organizations to provide presentations, advocacy, and outreach services.
  • Assist with crisis intervention as needed.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A minimum Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
  • At least one year of experience in providing CPST and/or Prevention services.
  • Previous work experience in working with students in a school setting (Pre-K through 12th) is highly preferred.
  • A valid Driver's License, proof of auto insurance, a good driving record, and a personal vehicle are required.
