Maintenance Engineer - Lighting Job Description

LMG, LLC. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer - Lighting to join our team. As a key member of our audiovisual support team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our lighting equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate the status and condition of all lighting equipment and accessories, ensuring they meet industry standards.
  • Diagnose and repair lighting equipment, as well as perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failure.
  • Maintain current regulatory standards knowledge, including ANSI/OSHA.
  • Track and maintain industry-standard testing certification for all equipment.
  • Perform assembly and repairs of lighting equipment, ensuring all components are reliable and meet industry standards.
  • Record and track the status of all lighting equipment, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Check shipping cases to ensure all components are reliable and meet industry standards.
  • Reconfigure and update lighting packages and equipment to meet the latest show requirements.
  • Provide 24/7 support for all equipment to warehouse personnel.
  • Track orders and transfers, working with Operations, Logistics, and Account Executives.
  • Assist Engineering staff with daily quality control priorities.
  • Communicate with field technicians or customers to diagnose equipment issues.
  • Update and maintain service records and track parts inventory.
  • Perform preventative maintenance routines to ensure systems function at full capacity.
  • Complete evaluation forms to indicate requirements, upgrades, and work performed.
  • Work from manufacturer documentation, operation manuals, technical bulletins, and other similar documentation.
  • Assist in training personnel on current lighting applications and industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Manage and maintain all lighting hardware and accessories.
  • Communicate with all pertinent departments on any issues.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in electrical engineering or related field preferred.
