Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Clackamas County Children's Commission. As an Assistant Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of young children in our infant/toddler and preschool classrooms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the classroom Teacher in providing high-quality educational services to children, including assessments, lesson planning, and classroom management.
  • Develop and implement engaging and developmentally appropriate activities to promote children's cognitive, social, and emotional growth.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports the diverse needs of children and families.
  • Communicate effectively with children, families, and colleagues to ensure a smooth and successful program.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in early childhood education.
Requirements
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or equivalent experience in early childhood education.
  • Associate's or higher degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
  • Experience working with young children, preferably in a group care setting.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including low-income and special needs families.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
