As the leader in the middle market, we understand the unique challenges and opportunities our clients encounter. We offer functional expertise, data-driven insights, and extensive industry experience across consumer products, industrials, and life sciences to address their intricate issues in areas such as demand planning, procurement, supply planning, manufacturing, warehousing operations, inventory management, product portfolio strategy, and logistics.

As a Manager within our Operations and Supply Chain Consulting practice, you will:

  • Become a leader in one of the fastest-growing and most entrepreneurial teams at RSM.
  • Leverage the resources and cross-functional support of the largest middle market firm while operating in a lean and agile environment, where your insights and experiences can directly influence our service offerings and client engagement strategies.
  • Contribute to the expansion of our service scope and industry reach.

We seek consultants capable of tackling the complex challenges faced by the middle market throughout the entire supply chain. We need engagement leaders who can pinpoint the real issues our clients face and utilize data to propose innovative strategic and operational solutions. Furthermore, we require individuals who can effectively communicate with clients and team members, fostering enduring relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage, mentor, and develop team members by providing timely and constructive feedback, alongside recruitment and retention initiatives.
  • Lead business development efforts, including networking, proposal creation, and marketing content.
  • Oversee engagement economics, including proposal budgeting, pricing, margin management, and risk assessment.
  • Utilize industry expertise to lead client assessments, defining the current state through data analysis, interviews, and facilitated workshops.
  • Identify business drivers and prioritize tasks swiftly to maximize team productivity.
  • Develop, implement, and manage solutions for complex client initiatives to achieve desired outcomes while maintaining engagement quality.
  • Communicate effectively with both internal stakeholders and external clients, including C-suite executives, to cultivate and sustain excellent client relationships.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 6+ years of professional consulting experience or relevant industry experience (prior consulting experience is highly preferred).
  • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to solve complex business challenges through data analysis and process mapping.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Client service and relationship-building skills.
  • Team player with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities; capable of working independently and collaboratively.
  • Willingness to travel 50% or more.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or equivalent graduate degree.
  • APICS Certifications (CPIM, CSCP).
  • Project Management Certification (PMP).
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification.
