Weekend Wastewater Treatment Specialist

PurposeEnergy LLC is seeking a skilled Weekend Wastewater Treatment Specialist to join our team at our industrial food and beverage anaerobic digester pretreatment facilities.
About the Role- This is a part-time or full-time position, requiring weekends and flexible hours.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the quality of treated effluent and ensuring efficient operations.
- Monitor and troubleshoot plant processing pumps, piping, tanks, and equipment to optimize facility throughput.
- Collaborate with plant operators, vendors, and managers to ensure compliance with state and local regulations.
- Conduct regular audits, safety inspections, and provide routine reporting to ensure facility operations meet industry standards.
- Inventory control of consumables, such as chemicals, reagents, and spare parts, to minimize waste and optimize resource utilization.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, including wastewater permits, air quality permits, and solid waste permits.
- Current Vermont Grade II Industrial Wastewater Treatment Operator certificate.
- Three years of relevant experience as an operator, in RNG, construction, and/or in industrial maintenance.
- Familiarity with mechanical and electrical systems, and/or ability to assist/work on pumps, piping, electric motors, generators, instruments, and basic building maintenance.
- Experience with the use of PLC's, controls, and instruments (pressure, temperature, flow, pH).
- Basic computer skills, including spreadsheets, document downloading, ordering, cost reporting, and timesheets.
- Ability to support work at facilities, both indoor and outdoor, throughout the year.
- Ability to perform work standing, bending, climbing, lifting up to 75 lbs., working overhead, on the ground, on ladders, on tanks, and in pits.
- $24 - $35 / hr. depending on relevant experience.
