Position Overview:
The role of the Pre-Certification Specialist encompasses a range of technical skills, including:
- In-depth understanding of office machinery, computer systems, and insurance platforms.
- Comprehensive knowledge of various healthcare insurance providers and their authorization protocols.
- Effective communication of clinical documentation and insurance requirements for authorization.
As a key member of our team, you will:
- Foster a welcoming environment for patients, families, visitors, and staff while managing scheduling and pre-certification tasks.
- Coordinate and secure insurance pre-certification and pre-determination, assessing medical necessity compliance before services are rendered, ensuring precision and promptness.
- Collect and verify demographic data and insurance details.
- Address and resolve inquiries from patients, visitors, and staff efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
