About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil/Geotechnical Engineer to join our team at WSP in Reno, NV. The selected candidate will be part of our US Mine Waste Team and will have the opportunity to work on challenging mining, heavy civil, and geotechnical projects.

Your Impact
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of civil and geotechnical engineering projects for the mining industry.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute project work and meet client objectives.
  • Develop and maintain technical reports, project design packages, and other documentation.
  • Perform site characterization, facility design, and slope stability analyses.
  • Work on permafrost soils and cold region-related engineering projects.
  • Develop and implement surface water management facilities.
  • Participate in field assignments and construction monitoring.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or an equivalent field of study.
  • 3-5 years of relevant post-education experience.
  • Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam or the ability to complete the exam within 6 months of start date.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently and on teams.
  • Comfortable working in remote settings and participating in a safety-first culture.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
