This is an exciting opportunity to join WSP's US Mine Waste Team as an Associate Civil/Geotechnical Engineer in our Reno and/or Elko, NV office.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented engineer to work on challenging mining, heavy civil, and geotechnical projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing engineering tasks such as site and material characterization, facility design, slope stability analysis, and process fluid management.
  • Preparing technical reports and project design packages, including technical drawings, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates.
  • Assisting with the preparation of project design packages and performing domestic and international field assignments.
  • Working with cross-functional teams to execute project work and complete training on assigned tasks.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or an equivalent field of study.
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant post-education experience.
  • Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam or the ability to complete the exam within 6 months of start date.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to complete engineering calculations and analyses.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Civil, or Geotechnical, Engineering or relevant discipline.
  • Engineer in Training Certification.
