Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist to join our team at the Defense Health Agency. As a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing complex and highly specialized radiologic procedures, developing and maintaining quality improvement and quality control programs, and serving as a consultant to other medical treatment facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic radiologic procedures, including neuro, chest, abdominal, and extremity examinations
  • Develop and maintain quality improvement and quality control programs to ensure compliance with accrediting and regulatory requirements
  • Consult with physicians, nurses, and other medical personnel to resolve problems in the area of risk management, quality control, instrumentation, test reporting, surveys, equipment evaluations, safety, and personnel
  • Assist in the development of quality control procedures for new radiologic examinations and modify existing procedures as needed
  • Formulate and maintain record keeping in conjunction with the MQM quality assurance system
Requirements
  • Must be a licensed Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (GS by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • One year of specialized experience performing radiographic procedures or examinations, setting up the x-ray room, or preparing or administering contrast materials
  • Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field directly related to the work of the position, such as Diagnostic Radiology/Radiography
