Our Orlando office is expanding, and we are in search of a skilled Architectural Project Coordinator to enhance our team.
Key Responsibilities- Develops comprehensive construction documents.
- Manages a small project or a series of smaller projects with limited supervision from a Project Architect or Project Manager.
- Addresses fundamental design challenges and creates architectural construction documents and specifications.
- Completes assigned tasks within the designated time and budget.
- Oversees, reviews, and accepts the work of CAD Technicians.
- Facilitates coordination of all project activities, both administrative and technical, to ensure efficient and cost-effective project execution.
- Conducts research and applies relevant codes, with limited interaction with code enforcement agencies.
- Takes initiative to acquire new architectural skills.
- Coordinates with engineering disciplines, including leading kickoff meetings.
- Receives and integrates project information from the Project Architect/Manager and clients.
- Collaborates with the Project Architect/Manager to deliver high-quality customer service.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial architecture projects, with at least 2 years in a self-directed role.
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or equivalent education and experience in an architectural setting.
- Experience in preparing construction documents.
- Ability to research construction methods for unique situations.
- Strong understanding of zoning regulations and building codes.
- Architectural licensure or a pathway to licensure is advantageous.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, and Sketchup is required.
- Limited travel for site visits and client meetings may be necessary.
- Strong skills in MS Office and Adobe Suites; familiarity with Revit is a plus.
- Knowledge of MEP drawings and systems is essential.
- Good understanding of the architect's scope of services.
- Effective communication skills with municipal officials, clients, and contractors.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team as well as independently.
