Job Title: Medical Assistant

Generations Family Health Center, Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team in Putnam, CT.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to assist with patient care and administrative tasks in our medical department. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with patient flow and preparation for examination and procedures
  • Clean and sterilize medical equipment and maintain inventory of medical supplies
  • Document waived testing and controls, as well as medications
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as filing lab reports
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Completion of MA program and certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA/AAMA) preferred
  • Experience working in primary care office preferred
  • Maintain current CPR certification
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred in applicable sites
