The Role

We are looking for a skilled Software Engineer II, Backend to join our Time Products team. This team is responsible for developing essential products that enable our customers to manage their workforce on a global scale. As a member of this team, you will be working on multiple areas, including Time & Attendance, Leave Management, and Scheduling products.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of Rippling's international expansion and launch critical product initiatives in 2023. You will have the chance to wear many hats, including writing and reviewing code, talking to users, planning our product roadmap, and working on go-to-market initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Write high-quality code and build great products
  • Ship fast, but with a high quality bar
  • Become an expert on one of the highest-impact products at Rippling
  • Have exposure to the sales teams to prioritize what can improve our revenue
  • Interact with customers and support them in being successful with Rippling
  • Lead and practice engineering excellence
Requirements
  • Experience in backend product engineering
  • Strong CS/algorithms fundamentals
  • You have seen systems operating at a significant technical and organizational scale
  • Strong product intuition: you care about design and user experience and are quick to identify how these could be improved
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Comfortable at developing scalable and extendable core services used in many products

This role will receive a competitive salary + benefits + equity. The salary for US-based employees will be aligned with one of the ranges below based on location; see which tier applies to your location here.

A variety of factors are considered when determining someone's compensation-including a candidate's professional background, experience, and location. Final offer amounts may vary from the amounts listed below.

The pay range for this role is: $112,000 - $350,000 USD per year (US Tier 1)
