Position Overview:
As a Licensed Vocational Nurse Supervisor at Optum, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing patient care operations. Your responsibilities will include performing specialized patient-oriented procedures under the guidance of a clinician or Registered Nurse (RN), ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mentor and train team members in collaboration with the Site Administrator and lead clinician.
- Act as a resource and liaison among administration, clinicians, staff, and other departments.
- Supervise clinical operations within a designated patient care area.
- Exhibit exceptional communication skills and a commitment to superior customer service.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with licensing, certification, and competency standards.
- Participate in Nursing Leadership regional meetings and Nurse Peer Reviews as necessary.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives for the site.
- Conduct monthly staff meetings to assess departmental needs and share operational updates.
- Cross-train for various departmental roles as needed.
- Support Quality Metrics and assist with all departmental functions within the LVN scope of practice.
- Attend mandatory Clinical Teammate Orientation and annual clinical updates.
- Uphold Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards.
- Assist in responding to patient emergencies according to established protocols.
- Maintain and update administrative records.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Licensed Vocational Nurse program.
- Current California LVN license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or the ability to obtain it upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Blood draw certification.
- 1+ years of experience as an LVN.
- 1+ years of supervisory or management experience.
- Bilingual capabilities.
