Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Service Technician who will be responsible for performing mechanical maintenance tasks, including the inspection, repair, installation, and modification of HVAC and refrigeration systems. This role also involves executing preventive maintenance and routine servicing of equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems for both commercial and residential clients. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of these systems.
  • Travel to various job sites and coordinate with dispatch to maintain schedules and communicate any delays to clients.
  • Be available for on-call duties during nights or weekends to address emergency service requests.
  • Ensure the company vehicle is well-maintained, including regular refueling, reporting mechanical issues, and completing monthly vehicle inspections.
  • Keep an adequate supply of parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle.
  • Document all equipment installations upon arrival, including make, model, serial number, fuel type, and necessary measurements.
  • Diagnose service issues, procure replacement parts, calibrate systems according to manufacturer specifications, and clearly communicate findings to clients.
  • Engage in training opportunities provided by the company to stay updated on the latest industry technologies.
  • Identify potential business opportunities and report them to management, including service contracts and additional services.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of UA Apprenticeship or technical school preferred.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience.
  • Preferred certifications include Journeyman HVAC License, Master HVAC License, EPA, CFC Certification, and Factory Training.
