Position Overview

We are looking for a dedicated SLPA to work collaboratively with our speech-language pathologists, teachers, and parents in delivering high-quality speech and language services to students.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in conducting comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify student needs.
  • Implement therapy plans developed by speech-language pathologists to support student progress.
  • Collaborate with educators to support speech and language goals in the classroom, promoting a seamless integration of therapy services.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress, tracking progress and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Provide training and support to students, teachers, and parents to ensure a cohesive and effective approach to speech and language development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant or a related field, with a strong foundation in communication disorders.
  • State certification as an SLPA, demonstrating expertise in speech and language assessment and therapy.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders, including students, teachers, and parents.

Experience

  • New graduates with a passion for school-based speech therapy are encouraged to apply, bringing fresh perspectives and ideas to the role.
  • Previous experience in an educational setting is a plus, with a demonstrated ability to adapt to changing environments and priorities.
