### Job Summary

United Staff Group is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to support students with autism and social-emotional challenges in an elementary-level setting. This position involves teaching and supporting students in two small classes with a total caseload of approximately 5-6 students.

### Key Responsibilities

* Teach and support students diagnosed with autism, implementing tailored instructional methods and behavioral strategies to meet their unique needs.
* Lead a class focusing on students facing social and emotional challenges, developing programs and activities that foster emotional regulation, social skills, and academic progress.
* Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for each student.
* Regularly assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies to optimize learning outcomes.
* Provide a safe and nurturing environment that encourages both academic and personal growth.

### Qualifications

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field.
* Valid Massachusetts Special Education teaching license.
* Experience working with students with autism and/or social-emotional challenges is highly preferred.
* Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
