Garver's Water Design Center is seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for taking water and wastewater design engineering projects from conceptual planning to bid-ready documents.
Key Responsibilities- Develop conceptual level designs for water and wastewater treatment systems
- Develop detailed designs, including contract documents (plans and specifications)
- Coordinate with process mechanical team for detailed design services for treatment facilities
- Prepare design calculations, coordinate with other support discipline activities on projects, and construction cost estimating
- Participate in client meetings and industry conferences
- Support water and wastewater process evaluation, selection, and implementation
- Oversee the development of construction drawings and 3D models pertaining to hydraulic structures
- Master's degree in civil, environmental, chemical, or biosystems/biological engineering from an ABET accredited program
- Engineer-In-Training (EIT) Certification or able to obtain within the next 6 months
- 2+ years of direct process experience with water/wastewater treatment plant
- Solid understanding of drinking water treatment processes or wastewater treatment processes (biological, chemical, and physical)
- 5+ years of direct experience with water and wastewater treatment processes
- PhD degree in civil, environmental, chemical, or biosystems/biological or related engineering discipline
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
- 2+ years of experience with open-channel flow hydraulic modeling
- 2+ years of experience with biological modeling software (GPS-X, SUMO, BioWin, etc.)
- Strong communication skills as required to collaborate project designs with multi-discipline project teams
- Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook
- Experience working with a multi-disciplinary team comprised of civil, structural, building mechanical, electrical, and Instrumentation and control disciplines
- Active participation in local professional organizations
