We are seeking a Warehouse Associate to join our operations. This role is essential in safeguarding inventory, as well as receiving, loading, and unloading materials. Adherence to company policies and procedures is crucial to maintain a safe working environment, and occasional driving of company vehicles may be required.
Key Responsibilities:- Unload incoming trailers, ensuring accurate inventory checks and documentation.
- Rotate stock to maintain product freshness, following all guidelines related to product age and quality.
- Accurately track and manage returned, stale, and damaged products.
- Maintain precise daily inventory records.
- Assist in validating incoming shipments from vendors or other facilities, ensuring accuracy and participating in periodic inventory audits.
- Prepare pallets and orders as needed to facilitate effective order fulfillment.
- Select and prioritize inventory for order processing and staging.
- Operate lift trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment to transport materials as required.
- Conduct trailer inspections and document findings as necessary.
- Ensure the warehouse is well-maintained, keeping pathways and exits clear of obstructions.
- Provide support for sales routes as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- High school diploma or equivalent; 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
- Experience operating forklifts is a plus; successful completion of forklift certification is required.
- Prior experience in order picking and pulling is advantageous.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and effective time management skills.
- Good verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
- This role involves the use of safety equipment and precautions, including working near operating machinery and handling hazardous materials.
- Physical demands include prolonged standing, walking on slippery surfaces, and frequent bending, lifting, and carrying of items weighing up to 70 lbs.
