We are seeking a highly skilled Produce Replenishment Manager to join our team at Whole Foods Market. As a key member of our produce department, you will be responsible for ensuring that our shelves are always stocked with the freshest produce possible.
Key Responsibilities- Purchasing and Replenishment: You will be responsible for purchasing and replenishing produce through proper buying procedures, ensuring that our inventory is always accurate and up-to-date.
- Inventory Control: You will monitor and act upon open PO reports for both purchases and credits in an accurate and timely manner, controlling spoilage and shrink, and achieving turn goals.
- Merchandising and Display: You will be responsible for maximizing sales potential through effective and proper procedures for stocking and merchandising products, ensuring that our displays are always visually appealing and well-stocked.
- Customer Service: You will provide excellent customer service, addressing the needs of customers in a timely and effective manner, and modeling suggestive selling techniques.
- Teamwork and Communication: You will work closely with our produce team to ensure that our inventory is always accurate and up-to-date, and that our customers are always satisfied.
- Experience: 12+ months retail experience.
- Skills: Extensive produce product knowledge, including production, distribution, seasonal availability, advances, and trends. Familiarity and/or willingness to learn about products, nutritional information, and other areas of study. Strong basic math skills. Knowledge and ability to use computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and ordering systems.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 50 pounds. In an 8-hour work day: standing/walking 6-8 hours. Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling. Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching.
