Position Overview:
Job Summary

Efficiently selects merchandise and organizes store orders for dispatch. Manages incoming and outgoing shipments; handles, loads, receives, identifies, relocates, stacks, and counts products. Operates powered industrial machinery safely and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Processes orders by selecting items from the warehouse based on a generated pick list. Ensures product integrity, stability, and safety while placing items on pallets. Prepares completed pallets at designated loading docks for distribution.

Utilizes forklifts to move pallets of goods from receiving areas to storage slots. Retrieves pallets from storage to replenish inventory for order fulfillment. Assembles full pallet orders for stores and prepares them at assigned loading docks for dispatch.

Receives incoming products, ensuring accurate verification and counting.

Checks for damage, infestation, adequate shelf life, and proper temperature; confirms all documentation is accurate.

Validates descriptions, UPCs, quality, quantity, and labeling against shipping documents. Properly documents any discrepancies.

Monitors all products assigned to each shipment.

Compares quantity, quality, and labeling with load control documents. Organizes items in the correct delivery sequence; consolidates and loads products to maintain legal weight distribution and product integrity during transport.

Meets established company standards daily, including productivity, safety, and sanitation.

Adheres to all safety protocols and policies; complies with OSHA regulations. Maintains a clean and organized workspace.

Performs additional tasks as assigned or necessary.

Qualifications

Required Skills:


Ability to work in environments with concrete flooring and varying temperatures, ranging from -12 degrees F in freezers to 34 degrees F in chilled areas, as well as non-air-conditioned warehouse spaces.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Availability to work various shifts and days in a 24/7 operation, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Demonstrates initiative and self-direction in managing time effectively.


Obtains necessary licensing/certification to operate required equipment, including powered industrial forklifts, powered pallet jacks, shrink-wrap machines, and radio frequency devices.

Familiarizes and memorizes warehouse layout and operational procedures.


Quickly and accurately performs basic arithmetic functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) without a calculator; visualizes and calculates quantities in three-dimensional arrangements; determines proper weight distribution within trailers during loading.

Communicates effectively using verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.

Exhibits manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and depth perception.

Capable of performing repetitive tasks accurately while maintaining mental alertness.

Ability to stand, walk, and move quickly throughout a shift.

Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, and turning.

Ability to reach, lift, stack, and maneuver objects of varying sizes and weights, frequently up to 50 lbs and occasionally more, from floor level to overhead.

Establishes and maintains positive relationships with colleagues and supervisors.

Effectively prioritizes and manages multiple tasks simultaneously.

Performs primary duties safely, efficiently, and accurately.

Conducts all responsibilities with integrity and honesty.

Equipment Operated:
