Adjunct Faculty in Pharmacotherapy

Position Overview:
The main duty of this faculty member is to oversee and provide instruction throughout the School's course sequence in both traditional and online formats, equating to half of a standard teaching load (6 credit hours). Additional coursework may be assigned at the discretion of the Chair of Pharmacy Practice. Furthermore, the faculty member will serve as a preceptor for students during advanced pharmacy practice experiences (APPE) and participate in faculty committees.
Employment Type: 25.0 (Adjunct-Clinical Non-tenure)
Qualifications:
- Pharm.D from an accredited institution
- Completion of PGY-1 residency training in an ASHP accredited program (or equivalent experience)
- PGY-2 residency training in an ASHP accredited program (preferred or equivalent experience)
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency in various software applications related to online course development and delivery
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, co-coordinate, and deliver a range of pharmacotherapeutic topics and pharmacy skills essential for professional practice within the School's 3-year online Pharm.D program.
- Engage in the shared governance of the School of Pharmacy.
- Support the mission and vision of D'Youville and the School of Pharmacy.
- Act as an advisor and mentor to Pharm.D students enrolled in the online program.
