Job Title: Adjunct Biology Professor

Job Summary:

Job Responsibilities:
• Teach variable course credits ($1,025/credit)
• Teach several sections of IN PERSON, no remote options BIO 109L/110L: General Biology Lab I/II (1 credit each)

Requirements:
• Master's degree in Biology, Environmental Science, Biochemistry, or related fields
• Previous experience teaching college-level science preferred
• Experience with 'active learning' in both an online and face-to-face modality
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written, necessary to interact effectively with all university constituents
• Strong time management/organizational skills
• Demonstrated ability to work with students, faculty, staff, and all university administration
• Demonstrated commitment to working with diverse populations
• Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching

Post-Hire Trainings:
Various trainings assigned upon hire and annually thereafter by the Office of Employee Engagement. The department will provide training on specific course content and online learning management system. Additional professional development trainings are optional and available through the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL).
