Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Catering Associate to join our team at Western Missouri Medical Center. As a key member of our food service team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver patient-centered food service, taking into account dietary restrictions and preferences.
  • Prepare and assemble patient trays with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Interact with nursing staff to ensure patients' dietary needs are met.
  • Conduct catering rounds to ensure patient satisfaction and address any concerns.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient information.
  • Collaborate with the dietitian to monitor patients with special dietary needs.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to ensure seamless service.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
  • Basic math skills and ability to operate a cash register.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain accuracy under pressure.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to sit and stand for extended periods, with occasional lifting and carrying of up to 40 pounds. The employee must also be able to work in a hospital setting, adhering to strict sanitation and safety protocols.
