Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Women's Health Department at Connecticut Institute for Communities, Inc. As an LPN, you will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care and education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient needs and provide care according to established protocols
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
  • Monitor and record vital signs, medical history, and symptoms
  • Assist with physical exams and medical procedures as needed
  • Provide education to patients and families on healthcare topics
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care
  • Collaborate with school nurses, WIC colleagues, DCF, and other medical departments as needed
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Current LPN license in the state of Connecticut
  • Previous experience in pediatrics preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; bilingual strongly encouraged to apply
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Understanding of medical terminology and nursing protocols
  • Experience with electronic medical records required; eClinical Works preferred
