Job Title: Fetal Echocardiography Specialist

Inova Health System is seeking a highly skilled Fetal Echocardiography Specialist to join our team in Fairfax, Virginia.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced professional to administer sound patient care practices, ensuring the safety of patients, staff, and self. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maternal-fetal sonography, detecting fetal anomalies, and providing clinical services according to specialized maternal fetal ultrasound practice standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Communicate effectively with patients to obtain clinical maternal-fetal history and informed consent.
  • Assist physicians in performing CVS, Amniocentesis, and image optimization studies.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of proper sterile techniques and isolation precautions.
  • Recognize clinical and/or emergent problems in maternal-fetal patients and take appropriate action to resolve them.
Requirements:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Successful completion of the Inova Nuchal Translucency (NT) Program and Cervical Length Assessment Program.
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - Obstetrics & Gynecology certification.
  • Two years of hospital or doctor's office-based experience in specialized maternal-fetal sonography.
  • Associate's Degree in Ultrasonography or a Graduate of an accredited diagnostic ultrasound school.
