Cardiac Sonographer

Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team in Fairfax, Virginia.

• Perform high-quality echocardiograms on pediatric and adult patients, including fetal echocardiograms.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure excellent patient care.
• Identify and correct errors in echocardiogram procedures, ensuring accurate results and patient safety.
• Collaborate with technical directors to maintain IAC accreditation and improve echocardiography practices.
• Act as a preceptor and resource for students and new sonographers, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
• Participate in staff development, in-service workshops, and educational activities to stay up-to-date with industry advancements.

• Graduate of an accredited diagnostic ultrasound school or five years of specialized training in a hospital/healthcare setting.
• Recent experience in a hospital/healthcare environment as a sonographer or sonographer student.
• ARDMS or CCI registered, with RDCS or RDMS certification in at least two sonographer specialties (e.g., pediatric and/or fetal echocardiography, OB/GYN, adult echocardiography).
• BLS Certification from AHA.
