About the Role

As the Nursing Program Director of Student Success and Academic Excellence, you will be responsible for creating, developing, and directing the student success program. This role is crucial in providing resources to ensure students' ability to succeed in nursing school and obtain respective licensure. You will serve as a vital liaison between faculty, students, and administration, promoting student achievement of HUSON outcomes and course outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with chairs of HUSON committees to assess aggregate and disaggregate academic and standardized test results of students. Recommend strategies to improve course and program outcomes.
  2. Collaborate with course, clinical faculty, and Associate Dean to identify at-risk students.
  3. Serve as an active member of the HUSON leadership team.
  4. Coach students in time management, study skills, and test-taking strategies for all assessments - clinical, lab, didactic, ATI, and NCLEX.
  5. Meet one-on-one with students on a regular basis to develop corrective action plans, monitor their progress, and use of success strategies.
  6. Collaborate and/or make referrals to Academic Advisors and Student Services as indicated.
  7. Develop and present success strategies to students and groups within HUSON and Hallmark.
  8. Collect and assess student outcome data and develop strategies for continual improvement.
  9. Develop, monitor, analyze, and report student success findings to HUSON committees.
  10. Gather, interpret, and disseminate data to guide faculty decision making regarding teaching, curricular planning, resource allocation, and quality programming.
  11. Support academics through guest lecturing, co-teaching, and/or lab or on-site clinical instruction.
  12. Develop and support the student tutoring program through the Student Nurses Association.
  13. Collaborate with faculty of/co-teach Capstone courses in both VN and BSN programs.

We offer a competitive salary package, including:

  • $80,000 - $110,000 per year, based on experience.
