Key Responsibilities- Provide basic patient care activities, including vital sign monitoring, blood glucose measurements, and intake/output recording, under the supervision of a registered nurse.
- Assist patients with personal care and activities of daily living, such as bathing, grooming, and eating.
- Report any abnormal findings or changes in patient condition to nursing staff.
- Maintain patient rooms in a clean and orderly condition.
- Demonstrate flexibility, organization, and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to function effectively in stressful situations.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to prioritize and complete unit work efficiently, as needed.
- Serve as a liaison between patient care units and other patient-related departments.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff, using appropriate telephone etiquette.
- Manage unit workflow, as needed, in collaboration with the charge RN and/or assistant manager.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a behavioral health or patient care role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work setting.
