Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Planning Engineer to join our team at Foxconn-PCE Technology. This role will be responsible for planning and executing modifications to our production system, including the introduction of new process equipment, modification of existing building and infrastructure, and installing new manufacturing infrastructure on our campus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Estimate press line refurbishments and new press installations.
  • Design, outsource, and maintain tooling for existing press lines.
  • Calculate press line capacity for customer volume.
  • Compare, examine, and comprehend customer EV products and processes, and merge existing manufacturing systems with new customer products and processes.
  • Create and modify the existing Foxconn manufacturing system to achieve EV Contract Manufacturing goals and objectives.
  • Incorporate Voice of the Customer into inputs and outputs of Foxconn Ohio manufacturing system.
  • Create a sustainable lean manufacturing system using industry-accepted best practices and established automotive manufacturing concepts.
  • Support Industrial Standardization group to define industry-proven best practices in equipment design, process design, equipment integration, and large-scale project management.
  • Provide technical support to maintenance, production, and engineering departments.
  • Implement data-driven decisions to optimize quality, cost, and efficiency.
  • Provide a strong working knowledge of manufacturing engineering, automotive processes, and project management principles.
  • Incorporate product and process changes with internal customers (manufacturing department).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in Engineering or similar degree from an accredited college or university is required or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in automotive engineering or construction engineering is required.

Skills/Licenses/Certifications:

  • Tool & Die Journeyman required.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCad, Solidworks, Catia, etc.) is required.
  • Ability to prepare, modify, read, and interpret drawings/technical requirements/specifications.
  • Experience with vehicle manufacturing processes or automotive paint process is required.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.).
  • Must have extensive experience with stamping presses and dies for automotive manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of steel and aluminum stamping. Roll forming knowledge a plus.
  • The successful candidate for this position must have a broad technical background with the ability to work with engineering, manufacturing, and customers across a wide variety of issues.
  • Must be self-directed with exceptional time management, prioritization, and organizational skills; Strong project management skills to keep team and actions on track to completion.
  • Proven experience working with new equipment installation and existing manufacturing system modification.
  • Demonstrate hands-on approach, analytical abilities, and attention to detail.
  • Motivated to learn and develop incredible on-the-job experience.
