Position Overview
The Retail Operations Supervisor collaborates closely with the Store Manager to enhance financial performance through outstanding store standards, effective execution of corporate strategies, and fostering positive customer interactions. This role assists in driving customer engagement, operational excellence, team management, and merchandising initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Team Development:
- Communicates effectively and professionally with team members.
- Creates a supportive work atmosphere for both customers and staff.
- Assists in recruiting, hiring, training, and developing a high-performing team.
- Provides constructive feedback to the Store Manager regarding team performance.
- Utilizes training materials to ensure all operational tasks are executed efficiently.
- Recognizes and rewards outstanding performance to enhance employee engagement.
Performance Management:
- Analyzes business performance and implements necessary actions to drive improvement.
- Collaborates with the store team to achieve and surpass sales targets.
- Manages payroll and scheduling effectively during operational shifts.
- Communicates key performance indicators to the team for transparency and accountability.
Customer Engagement:
- Maintains a strong customer focus on the sales floor at all times.
- Adheres to safety regulations and company policies.
- Models exemplary customer service standards and coaches others to achieve success.
- Partners with the team to uphold a clean, organized, and inviting store environment.
Merchandising Execution:
- Implements merchandising standards including visual displays and promotional signage.
- Adjusts merchandising strategies based on sales performance and inventory levels.
- Collaborates with the Store Manager on promotional planning and product placement.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in retail management.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Excellent customer engagement abilities.
- Effective communication skills with customers and team members.
- Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently.
- Basic computer proficiency.
Physical Requirements
- Flexible availability required, including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks.
