About the Role

We are seeking a Laboratory Production Specialist to contribute to our mission of enhancing traceability and verification processes. This role involves executing tasks in a life sciences laboratory according to established protocols. The dynamic nature of this position demands exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to adapt to changing tasks and schedules while working independently within a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, execute, and oversee laboratory experiments with general supervision.
  • Produce master mix plates for qPCR in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Prepare samples in substantial quantities.
  • Conduct daily qPCR tests.
  • Collect and analyze qPCR data, draw conclusions, and suggest process enhancements.
  • Ensure the accuracy, quality, and timeliness of experimental outcomes.
  • Maintain precise records and troubleshoot experimental issues.
  • Engage in routine laboratory maintenance and uphold safety standards.

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years or a Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience in molecular biology, biochemistry, chemistry, or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in molecular biology laboratory techniques, including DNA/RNA purification and quantitation.
  • Experience in food and microbiological preparation.
  • Ability to work autonomously, manage routine tasks, and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented, quality-focused, and well-organized.
  • Capability to identify and resolve basic issues encountered during experimental procedures.
  • Familiarity with Excel and Google applications.
